freedom Most students tend to be individualistic because of the constant pressure of staying ahead in the competitive race. Because of this prime factor, students tend to lack team spirit, except for those involved in team sports. And not each and every student is inclined towards sporting activities, unless forced to. In fact, it is necessary that every school allots enough of school time for sports, as apart from promoting good health, it also teaches students various values.

One such important lesson is that of team building and team spirit. When involved in team games and activities each student learns how to be an effective contributor to the success of the team as each one is to should responsibilities. In relay races, team members are taught how it is important not to blame a team member for lack of speed, but in fact, make up for the lost time. These are underlining factors that are taught through such activities.

From time to time the class should be given group activities and projects, on the basis of which they are given grades. This forms an interesting educative way of teaching students the importance of working as group, and yet they can explore new subjects at the same time.

Even disciplining students can happen by dividing the class into groups and each group is given points by the end of the week for the way they have kept themselves within disciplinary norms, and also kept their surroundings clean. Points can be added and deducted on the basis of individual and group conduct.
