freedom Most companies prefer to organize training programs for their employees at places that are away from the city. This is because they feel their employees require a getaway from the monotonous routine of day-to-day office functioning. And in order to provide them a constructive paid for break, they would rather organize workshops such as those based on team building.

For such programs, the trainers are required to use outdoor team building activities as part of the workshop. These need to be fun, and yet effective tools of communicating what needs to be learnt by the participants. Given here are some interesting activities for the outdoors…

Group brainteasers

Placing a bucket of water on a pole using only ropes.

Bridge building from one side of the lawn to the other using only pieces of wood.

Creating a landscape. Each team is provided with tools and a patch of ground on which they are to create a unique landscape.

Seed to flower stretches - each team is to stand in a closely-knit circle and they all bend down forming a group seed and then stand up and stretch themselves outwards to form a group flower making a collective joyful sound. This achieves the goal of understanding group dynamics.

Different-abled : In this the group is given an activity, but each member is given an assigned role or ability and yet each member is contribute to achieving the final goal.
